Katherine Sullivan, M.S., ATC, LAT, USAW, is currently a Doctoral Candidate and Graduate Assistant working under the mentorship of Dr. Michael V. Fedewa in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Alabama. Daughter of an immigrant, first generation American, Katie was born and raised in New York. She received her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training at Marywood University on a scholarship for lacrosse. Katie continued her education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she earned a Master's in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science. Since 2011, Katie has been working as an Athletic Trainer in various settings of sports medicine including working with professional and Olympic athletes. Her current research interests include body composition, training/performance intervention,and supplementation and rehabilitation protocol performance. Katie is passionate about working with underrepresented populations within research.
