Dr. Ann Brown is an Assistant Professor of Exercise, Sport & Health Sciences in the Department of Movement Sciences in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho. She joined the U of I in August 2016 immediately after earning her Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University. Additionally, she is a certified sport nutritionist (CISSN) which is the field that drives her research. Dr. Brown’s research interests focus on dietary and training interventions to optimize human performance, body composition and metabolism. She is particularly interested in aesthetic athletes, such as dancers who have specific body image demands in addition to performance requirements.
