Andy's love of sports drew him to a career in Sports Medicine as a clinician, educator and a researcher. Andy is a sports physical therapist who has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas; a Master of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and a PhD in Kinesiology/Biomechanics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has been working as a physical therapist mostly in an outpatient/sports setting since 2002. Dr. Waldhelm is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist, licensed as an athletic trainer in the state of Texas and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is an active researcher with interests in athletic injury prevention, sports rehabilitation, sports performance enhancement and sports biomechanics.
