Amanda Stors, B.S., is pursuing a Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island and is a teaching assistant within the Department of Kinesiology. In 2020, she recieved her bachelor's of science in Kinesiology, and decided to further her education after working in the field for two years.
Currently, Amanda is immersed in her thesis research, focusing on investigating the effects of a resistance training program on power, strength, and sport-specific performance in female collegiate cheerleaders. Her dedication to the field has led her to serve as the University of Rhode Island's Cheerleading team's Strength and Conditioning coach. This fall, she will pursue a Sport Science internship with the university's Strength and Conditioning Department. This past year, she served as a research assistant under Dr. Disa Hatfield and Dr. Christie Ward-Ritacco for the Tonal Strength Institute's first study, and will be a contributing author to their upcoming publication.
