Annette Monk, DAT, LAT, ATC serves as Clinical Faculty in the Exercise Science Program at Eastern Kentucky University. Her research is centered around musculoskeletal injury prevention and rehabilitation, with interest working with the tactical athlete population. Her interest in the tactical community stemmed from family members within law enforcement as well as her time working as an athletic trainer for the United States Navy, establishing and overseeing an injury clinic for the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command. Annette has co-authored published literature on postural control, soft-tissue sprains, and telehealth in athletic training. She has presented and moderated at the state, district, and national level for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and was an invited speaker to an international Fulbright Program with Vladimir State University (Russia). Current projects include establishing an injury clinic for Kentucky law enforcement candidates and evaluating the effectiveness of team teaching across a hybrid exercise science course.
