Currently, I hold a position as an Assistant Professor at Loyola University Chicago in the Department of Applied Health Sciences and as a Research Scientist at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Hospital in the Physical Performance Laboratory. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Human Performance as well as a Graduate Certificate in Statistical Methods and Analyses at Oklahoma State University under the mentorship of Dr. Jason DeFreitas. I am a United States Air Force veteran and certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F), which has complimented my graduate education and previous experience as a physical training leader in the military. In addition, I am certified through USA Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach.
