Juliana Knox is a student in the Health Sciences and Pre-Med Program at Furman University. She is an undergraduate researcher under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Sobolewski. Juliana’s research focuses on the effect of acute static stretching on the Vastus Lateralis and its impact on muscle performance. An aspiring Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Juliana actively participates in job shadow programs at the Medical University of South Carolina observing pediatric open heart surgeries. Juliana volunteers at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital caring for pediatric patients, Prisma Health Summer Camps, Heller Service Corps helping others in the local community, and Days for Girls sewing and assembling menstrual care kits for distribution in 125+ countries internationally. In her free time, Juliana enjoys hiking, gardening, and baking.
