Ty B. Palmer, PhD, Associate Professor, Texas Tech University: Dr. Palmer studies the effects of stretching, supplements, and fatigue-related interventions on muscle stiffness, strength, postural balance, and other performance-based outcomes. He also studies age-related differences in skeletal muscle characteristics, including measurements of muscle size and quality. Dr. Palmer is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and he is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He received his PhD in Health and Human Performance from Oklahoma State University. Before joining Texas Tech University, Dr. Palmer was an Assistant Professor at Kent State University in the School of Health Sciences.
