Joseph (Joe) Vondrasek, CSCS, is currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the Biodynamics and Human Performance Lab on the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University in Savannah, GA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Alma College, Alma, MI under the tutelage of Dr. Alexander Montoye. In his time at Alma, he wrestled for the Scots and started to enjoy human subject research during his first summer as a research assistant. Now, at GSU, Joe works with Drs. Andrew Flatt, CSCS*D, and Gregory Grosicki. At GSU he has gained experience during projects on heart rate variability (HRV), beet root juice supplementation, and validation of a mobile HRV application. Outside of the lab and classroom, Joe enjoys lifting, playing disc golf, and reading a wide range of books. After GSU he plans to begin doctoral studies with hopes to learn more about the power of exercise for health and wellness.
